Working with D5 architects AB Audio Visual developed and installed two interactive systems at the visitor centre. As part of the airport exterior cannot be viewed from the visitor gallery, two cameras were installed, one on the control tower and one at the end of the runway, each controlled from touch screens. The pictures are displayed using video projectors onto 6’ screens. Also an interactive kiosk connected to a 50” plasma screen was fitted, giving visitors information about different types of aircraft as well as a ‘Who wants to be a Millionaire’ style quiz. Other features included pre-recorded air traffic control sounds, 3D virtual fly throughs of the airport and promotional videos. Special features allowed airport control to remotely shut the system down in the event of any airfield incident or security threat. Services Provided Video Projection |
