Kingswood College of Arts in Hull has a 189 seat performing arts theatre. The existing stage lighting scheme was dated, possibly from the original build of the school. The new scheme was to provide a comprehensive lighting scheme, to cater for both school use and for touring productions staged there. A combination of Fresnel and Profile fittings were used, along with Cyc lights for the rear of stage. The budget allowed for the use of four Martin Mac 250 washes and four Martin Mac 250 Kryptons to bring the lighting into the 21st century. A Zero 88 Fat Frog lighting desk was used, as this allowed simple use, but could also control both intelligent and generic light fixtures. Dimming of generic fittings was by six, 6 channel DMX dimmers.
