This project utilises one of the major control systems available through AB Audio Visual, Control 4. This system provides a halfway house between Systemline and AMX. The great benefit of Control4 is its modular design allowing simple and relatively inexpensive expansion.

The main reception rooms, home cinema and swimming pool have an integrated audio system, comprising of Bose speakers. The drawing room has a Freespace 3 system, capable of providing high quality audio with rich bass from 75mm speaker cubes. A hidden Sub Bass module creates the full rich sound that is fairly difficult to pinpoint. Other reception rooms and the kitchen utilise Bose ceiling speakers, while the home cinema uses the Bose Acoustimass15 system. The swimming pool utilises wall mounted Bose Freespace DS16SE speakers. These speakers have environmental protection, making them ideal for the high humidity experienced in the pool area.

The main controller provides a hard drive music server that can allow music to be streamed around the property. Also in the main equipment rack is an iPod docking station allowing the iPod to be accessed around the house. In rooms where TVs are located, the control information is displayed on the TV screen. A wireless handheld remote control allows control of the AV systems. A great benefit of this system is an iTouch/iPhone app that can act as a wireless touch screen remote control for the system.

The home cinema utilises a 50” full HD TV which is linked to Sky HD. The Sky can be controlled throughout the house via the Control4 system.
