Since 2007, AB Audio Visual has been involved with both new build hotels and major refurbishments across the group. Our work started with us winning the quotation to build a four storey hotel in Solihull. Since then we have built new hotels in Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Portsmouth, Basingstoke and Eastleigh.
All the new sites have been finished to the standard that was applicable at the time of the build. All propertied received a full in room TV system, with full DTV and Sky Smatv. The latest installations included a Sky package using the Sky Bright Box, delivering HD content to all bedrooms.
Public areas of the hotels have a high quality background music system with speakers from either Bose or Dass. The restaurant/sports bar have an audio system capable of higher levels of audio, designed to cope with audio levels for major sporting events and large numbers of people.
A cluster of large screens are suspended over the central island bar with two 98″ screens mounted in bookcases in the sports bar area. Several of the hotels have employed a Control4 automation system controlling the HD content around the bar screens.
The introduction of Control4 allows us the ability for remote diagnosis of issues as well as providing the hotel staff with a simple interface to control the technology. Some hotels feature 2 x 2 or 2 x 3 Video walls that can be used for either digital signage or playing out sporting events into the reception areas.
For the conference and events area we have large screens and projectors that can be used for TV or presentations. All meeting room contain at least a 65″ Screen for presentations. These have wireless connectivity using the Airtame wireless presenters. Some rooms are using Yealink for video conferencing.
Within the leisure area we provide a full TV network for both large screen display around the facility as well as to the personal screens built into the fitness equipment. We have also provide audio systems for the gym area and pool. The pool system been flexible enough to provide background music as well as a PA suitable for Aqua Aerobics.
We have also carried out refurbishments on all the properties in the Village brand as well as the Belfry and Cameron House. These have all been brought up to the same level as the new sites.
